TOURNAMENT DRAWS/INFO
Get ready for an exciting and fast-paced tournament this Saturday! We've designed a unique "Top Court Winner" format to keep the games lively and ensure everyone gets a variety of play. Here's how it works:
Tournament Structure:
8 Teams:Â We'll have 8 teams participating, playing doubles on 4 courts.
Fast 4 Games:Â Each match consists of a total of 4 games.
Total of GamesThis means that the score can be 4-0, 3-1
Sudden Death Tiebreaker:Â In the event of a 2-2 tie, a sudden death point decides the match. Teams will spin to determine the choice of serving or receiving, similar to the start of a regular match. The serving team gets one chance to win the point and can choose their preferred service side.
Court Movement:
Win and Move Up:Â The winning team moves up to a higher court.
Lose and Move Down:Â The losing team moves down to a lower court.
This ensures a dynamic tournament where teams face different opponents and experience varied levels of play.
Scoring:
No-Ad Scoring:Â Matches will be played with no-advantage scoring to keep the action quick and competitive.
Tournament Duration and Post-Play:
2-Hour Flight:Â Teams will compete in their flight for approximately 2 hours.
Post-Match Enjoyment:Â After the competition, players can relax and enjoy beverages and food together.
Prizes and Awards:Â 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams will be recognized with prizes/awards for their excellent play and sportsmanship.
