Which Drills/Clinics Can I Sign Up For
In order to participate in our drills you must have a rating from the USTA. If you do not, please contact Jeff Contreras 254-493-0217 to assist you with this. Wildflower Tennis currently uses two different rating systems to help place players in appropriate groups. Please read the following to understand what groups you are eligible for.

"C" - Computer Rating
If you have a "C" Type Rating in your USTA NTRP player profile, this means that you may register for any drill that your rating reflects.

For Example:

John Smith -------Temple,Tx -------3.5-------Type Rating C

The "C" means that John is a true 3.5 player and has earned this rating through match play within the USTA.

This means John can register for any 3.5 drill or clinic. John may not register for a 4.0 Drill. The only way for John to play up in our programming would be to join a combined drill that may say "3.5-4.0 Drill and Play". John may register for that because he is a 3.5 rated player.
3.5 Drill and Play
3.5-4.0 Drill and Play
4.0 Drill and Play

"S" - Self Rate
If you have an "S" Type Rating in your USTA NTRP player profile, this means our Tennis Professionals will place you in the appropriate group. Most often, self rating is typically overrated by a half point for players to be eligible for league play however, this is a not a C rating which means that you will placed in the appropriate group. Please contact our Head Tennis Pro Jeff Contreras for assistance 254-493-0217.

For Example:

John Smith -------Temple,Tx -------3.5-------Type Rating S

The "S" means that John is a self rate 3.5 player and has not earned this rating through match play within the USTA.

This means John can't register for any 3.5 drill or clinic. The only way for John to participate in 3.5 drills is to compete in USTA Sanctioned events and earn a 3.5 Rating Type C.
3.5 Drill and Play
3.0 Drill and Play (If placed by the head tennis Pro)
2.5 Drill and Play (If placed by the Head Tennis Pro)

Please Read The Following:
Self Rated players that have been participating in Wildflower Tennis Programming for over a year and have also had approval from the Head Tennis Pro will be grandfathered into their current drill groups due to cancellations of official USTA Leagues and Tournaments from Covid-19. If you have any questions regarding this clause please contact our Head Tennis Pro - Jeff Contreras 254-493-0217
